I was greeted heartily by the staff as I entered. I was quickly whisked to a seat at the sushi bar. Seating was tight, to say the least & I was not allowed to sit in another place as requested since I was dining alone.
The sushi chef was very polite and even complimented my addition of lemon slices to the tiger roll. I also ordered the California crunch roll. Both rolls were satisfactory & served quickly.
This was my first visit to Somo, so I'm glad I checked my bill before paying. I ordered two rolls ($19+tax), but was initially charged for the "all you can eat" $24 price. The server asked the chef instead of me which style I ordered. I even told them at the beginning that I was ordering a la carte.
There were things I appreciated about the experience & things I didn't find compelling reasons to return soon since there are so many other options.
