  • If you are researching midwives in the Phoenix area, stop looking right now and go with Phoenix Midwife. Marinah Farrell is hands down the most compassionate, loving, caring, experienced woman I have ever met in my life. I had a natural birth (33 hour labor) in a hospital with my 1st child and I knew I wanted a home birth for the birth of our 2nd child. I contacted Marinah after doing some research online. She came to our home for an interview and I immediately knew she was the perfect midwife. Our series of visits prior to the birth were nothing but the absolute best. Marinah ensured that we had all of our questions answered and offered tons of resources to ensure we were making the best decisions on everything. We also had a chance to meet Marinah's back up midwife, Robin, just in case, and she was amazing as well! As for the birth, I went into labor in the middle of the night and when I text Marinah to let her know that I was in early labor, she responded immediately. I called her a few hours later when my contractions were getting stronger and more frequent and they came right over to my home. Less than 2 hours later, Ava was born (with 2 pushes!). The care I received during labor, birth and after-birth was over the top! It was so much more than you would ever get from a hospital. Please believe me when I tell you that the professionalism and compassion displayed my Marinah and her team was amazing. Her #1 priority is ensuring the safety of you and your baby. She and her team stayed for 3 hours after the birth. They ensured everyone was ok, ensured that I ate and even threw in some laundry! The way she cared for us was better than any physician I have ever encountered. They even came back the next day and several days after that to check in on us. Having a home birth was the most miracuous experience of my life. I am so grateful that I had Marinah there to give me that experience.
