If you do want the details...
The wait at dinner time was not as bad as we would have expected for a seat. There were 4 families in front of us and we sat in the 15 min they quoted. Our server was very fun and helpful. We split the caprese chicken sandwich as we wanted to leave room for the "triple d" desert. The sandwich had to be one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The quality of chicken was great, but I guess I had never had that combination of chicken, tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and balsamic (I know one of you are yelling at me for never having this). The wait between getting refills, ordering and receiving the check might not have been as quick as some other restaurants we have been, but to be expected out of a traditional diner, I didn't mind. The atmosphere is definitely upscale for a diner, but similar traditional menu items plus some new favorites. The only thing I found strange is the sports bar in the front room....that's not very diner-like and they had sports memorabilia on the walls from what seems like any team that has nothing to do with Charlotte.
