  • I would rarely even consider writing a review for a movie theater as the experience is rather binary. Either you got your ticket, popcorn and soda or your didn't. I've been going to this theater since before it was branded as AMC and I've never had anything but neutral/good experiences. However, this past Friday my wife and I went to see Valerian in the high-end Dolby theater and during the previews and then the beginning of the movie, the projector would suddenly go green. After the first 30 seconds of the movie they came in and announced they would be rebooting the projector and we all had the choice of staying for the 5-10 minutes to see if that fixed it or going to another theater to watch something else. The kicker though, was that regardless of our decision, we all got a free pass to a future movie. Let me rephrase that....for the inconvenience of waiting 5-10 minutes and the possibility of walking to another theater in the same building, we were all being given a free movie pass. This is what good customer service is about. I applaud the folks at AMC for seemingly having a policy in place that focuses on not just the micro-experience of the movie itself, but also the macro-experience of the evening and ensuring that even if the projector didn't reboot successfully, all attendees would be leaving with a positive experience. 6 stars! p.s. Thank you for implementing the single queue line in the concessions area. Now I just ask that you implement a special line for those wanting a popcorn refill or have a cart for refills in the theater zones. My 2 cents.....
