  • I found a really cool sea scape painting in one of my picking trips in the mountains. I bought it even though it was completely dirty, had cracking paint, and a large dent, which almost tore the canvas. I could see the potential for the painting and the price was so low that I couldn't walk away from it. After getting home I decided to take the painting over to Jack Marble at Precious Restorations in Matthews. I was excited to take my painting in to see if Jack could bring it back to life. Jack was very knowledgeable as he assessed the damage. He told me what he could do, and quoted me a very fair price and turn around time. I confidently left my future heirloom with him. A couple of weeks later Jack called me to let me know that my painting was ready to go home. I went by the store and my painting was hanging on the wall. I rarely Yelp but after I saw my painting and realized that Jack had more than exceeded my expectations I felt impelled to tell others about my experience. If you have an antique or painting that you love but needs some work I highly recommend Precious Restorations. I can't wait till I find another gem on my picking trips that may need a little polishing. The store also has antiques for sale, that were priced well. Jack was very friendly, professional, and the stores location is convenient to most Charlotte residents. Easily a five star experience!
