My friend actually wanted to really go here because this was this restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. We were also recommended by the hospital staff at Scottsdale HonorHealth.
They were definitely not kidding when they said that you would be eating in between rows of Italian grocery shelves! I thought we were in the wrong place at first. Again, I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to eat because the menu was pretty expansive, but settled on my usual calzones whenever I try out new Italian restaurants. The calzone comes in two sizes, 10" or 16", and you can either choose your own toppings or buy their calzone concoction. You choose your toppings (or stuffings) from the pizza toppings which are like $1.50 each. My total which a drink ended up being about $17... Holy crap! But there is a big reason why it was so much, IT WAS HUGE!! I ended up just eating half of it and taking the rest back to the hotel for lunch tomorrow. The calzone was good, but not really something I would crave. I think I'd like to come back for another meal on the menu because it was not too terrible of a place.
