  • Our first visit to Green Valley Animal Hospital was under unfortunate circumstances. Our 16 year old Chihuahua had become ill and it was time to set her free. As much as you prepare yourself for that moment with your pet, the reality of it is a million times worse. I called early on a Tuesday morning and as soon as the receptionist answered the phone, I busted into tears. She was very compassionate and understanding and told us to come in any time, no appointment needed. We arrived just after 8:00 in the morning and were greeted with the same compassion and understanding when we checked in. We were escorted to a room and Dr. Hobson came in shortly and spoke to us about our situation. She was kind and full of heart and I only wish we could have met her for the first time for a regular vet visit and not a heartbreaking one. She was so understanding and after a quick examination of our pup, helped us understand that we were making the right decision, painful as it was. We were given as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. Through all the tears, I was so impressed with how we were treated and how efficient the entire staff was. We had our dog's ashes back to us within 3 days and when my husband went to pick them up, he reaffirmed that the kindness we experienced a few days before was still prominent. A few months ago, we had taken our Chihuahua to another vet here in Henderson and we were not impressed. Even after we complained, and the owner invited us in for a free visit to give us a better experience, we still were not impressed. I wish we had gone to Green Valley Animal Hospital right from the start! We will be taking our other dog there now for her well visits and I'm looking forward to getting to know the staff under happier circumstances.
