| - Consider TownPlace Suites, even of you are staying only 1 night. Free hot breakfast, good restaurants within 2 blocks, extended stay suites, great area rates, free parking, pet friendly with dog exercise yard.
This is a very well managed property. Brandon Dudley, the General Manager has done an excellent job training a staff to execute professional high level customer service.
Logan was our front desk agent on check in and he would be an excellent management trainee for the career professional track at Marriott HQ. We are at the end of a 5 week tour of the US ... all Marriott stays of I or 2 nights. This property rated as one of the 2 best we stayed at and our trip hasincluded stays at Marriott resorts, JW'S and Marriott conference centers. Logan went out of his way to extend a free upgrade when he learned my spouse was travelling injured and made extra effort to make sure we could get our luggage to the room....all while being the only front desk staff person on duty. He knew the area and restaurants well and knew the room stock of his property. He knew which rooms had ADA tall toilets, which were closest to the elevators and fine details that many front desk staffers never bother to learn about the hotels in which thry work. I hope Logan chooses Marriott for his long term career and I hope Marriott choses him for the executive management track.
Our morning breakfast staffer, Roxanne, took pity on us when we showed up as breakfast was already closed. She extended the extra effort to personally make our injured party member his morning waffle. But, it was what happened next that warmed our hearts. Roxanne, who was fluently bilingual, then used her morning break to help translate for a couple housekeeping staff who needed some assistance with English ss they did their tasks. Her conversation with them was in a service area; and, was patient and kind. We only overheard it because we were very late for breakfast and we're the only guests in the adjacent public breakfast area.
So, if you need a place to stay in Charlotte (even for 1 night), stay at this TownPlace suites. They had the lowest rates of any Marriott property in town, are in a lovely neighborhood, share their block with several restaurants, offer a full hot, free, American breakfast and had great customer service.
And...we have done 200 Marriott night credits last year...160+ so far this year...by husband holds Marriott Gold and I have a my own account at Platinum Plus. We know all the Marriott brands well, and an A+, job well done...to Logan, Roxanne and the te as m under Brandon Dudley's management at TownPlace Suites Charlotte Arrowood.
