| - Not how I wanted to spend my Mother's Day... As my family and I traveled from Pittsburgh to the Detroit area, we decided to stop local for dinner. After finding this restaurant on our GPS, we arrived and saw a sign that said Mother's Day Dinner 1-6pm. It was 530 pm. We went in and stood at the entrance. After a minute or so, we were greeted by an employee with "Do you need something? ". Yes please. Dinner. Why else would we be there? What happened to can I help you? We were told to sit anywhere. Clearly this establishment hasn't been updated in decades but we didn't mind that upon first glance. What I can assume as the waitress told us "well, go find a seat anywhere". After choosing a booth, I began looking around. It smelled of smoke, the refrigerated case had one item in it which was creepy and everything looked dirty. There were 4 tables of people including us, two finishing up and one who must have sat shortly before us. The waitress told the recent table that they were short on menus and handed 2 menus to the 5 people. I have no clue who else had all these menus seeing as they were the only ones with menus in the place. The waitress then told them that they couldn't order any dinners, only sandwiches. We sat at our table for about 3 minutes without anyone coming over to us to give menus, bring water, bread or even place settings. At this point, we decided to not waste any more of our time and walked out. Very strange.
