  • wonderful property to spend a lazy sunday! it is free to roam the museums and the property, only part you have to pay to see if the clayton - the home. $12 is definitely worth the 1 hour docent-led tour of the building that is fabulously decorated and all original. art museum is on the small side but houses the personal collection of helen frick. there are german and italian rooms. the car museum is about to close for 2 years for renovation, but that was really neat to see as well. didn't go inside the greenhouse and we did not eat at the cafe, but the cafe looked very nice. gift shop/children's playhouse was neat and that is where you buy the tickets for the home tour. all said and done i wish we would have had more time to explore here! would definitely like to come back!
