| - I had a fantastic class here! I have to say I was a little on edge going in, after being in the car for 10 hours I NEEDED something/anything, this was the closest, easiest place. I took the 5:45 60min. Hot class, which to my surprise turned into the Candle Lit 75min. Hot class....um PERFECT! Just what I needed. The teacher, Kim, was fantastic. Her voice was soothing and cues were to the point (this can be confusing if you're used to certain teachers/styles and then jump into other classes where poses and movements have different 'nicknames'). The pace was what I would consider slower but steady and full of options to expand into different variations if you practice them. One more thing, there are mirrors. Yup, freaked me right out, because I had already walked in and paid for class before I knew so I was stuck. Thank god it was dim and candle lit, haha! Seriously though, I got over it because I enjoyed the teacher so much.
Outside the studio space is where the 5th star for the review gets lost. The lobby is or seems small because it is so packed with retail ( I love to shop as much as the next guy, but it seemed disorganized and there was just too much of everything) Everyone was kind of huddled into a tiny space waiting for the room to open. I would have much preferred a nice lounge area to hang in while I wait Also, the front desk was just, ok. I didn't feel especially welcome, not that she wasn't nice by any means, but just not overly welcoming or helpful.
I'll end on a good not though. I LOVE the lavender scented cool towels. I just don't know why all studios don't invest in those. So simple, and so wonderful.
