  • This place is adorable, but you can't always judge a book by it's cover. I really wanted to LOVE it. I had just relocated from San Diego and needed to find a replacement for my SD med spa. At first glance, I thought "Yes, I found it." But even on my first visit, the chaos was clearly apparent...just from sitting in the lobby. I overheard conversations a customer shouldn't hear. At least fake it till you make it and put on a front that you have things under control. I mean you are going to be sticking a needle in my forehead for Pete's sake. I began to have my doubts immediately. But I ignored them. I had two facials over the course of few months...neither of which were that great. They weren't awful, but not worth what I paid. Before moving to AZ I received facials regularly, at least once monthly for years. I was even a secret shopper for a SD med spa. When they hired a new esthetician, they'd send me in for a facial to critique the service. So I do know a thing or two about a good, quality facial. I came in for botox twice because the first time it didn't take. The second time I also got my lips done. I came back a few weeks later for more because I felt like it wasn't really noticeable. I've also brought my mother in for botox multiple times so, between the two of us, we've spent a pretty penny. I feel like we've been loyal customers at this point. A few more weeks go by. The botox is still not perfect so I call to make an appt. the doctor on staff has apparently been replaced by a nurse practitioner. When I meet with her for the botox, I casually ask her to check the lumps in my lips, she tells me my lips were injected incorrectly by the previous doctor. That the filler was placed too deep in the tissue and that it needed to be dissolved. OK, so if you've never experienced this, consider yourself lucky because it's AWFUL. extremely painful. the nurse reaches out to the owner who tells me they'll make this right. they'll fix the lumps and then fix my lips for no additional cost. Which, honestly I thought was very respectful and despite my issues with this place would have earned them 5 stars in my mind had they actually followed through with it. I realize I signed a release form and that legally the business didn't have to cover this. So I really appreciated it and was impressed by their committment to their customers. I had 6 or 7 dissolving treatments done at which time the nurse tells me she thinks I should call the original doctor who injected me. WAIT, WHAT? why should I have to call her. So awkward, right? She doesn't even work for Vivid any longer. Finally, the nurse calls the original doctor on my behalf and tells her whats going on. Together they decide I need to go see her because as an actual "doctor" she can prescribe medication if necessary that the nurse cannot. So I make a visit to the original doctor, who has a practice in Scottsdale. Her professionalism and commitment to helping me through this was so appreciated. She gives me a prescription just to be sure there isn't an infection. This is the point where I feel like Vivid wrote me off. However, a few weeks later, I brought my mom back AGAIN for more botox...at this point, why I'm still going back, I don't know. And on a side note, I made an appt with the owner for a brow wax at the same time my mom was getting botox and the owner no-showed me. Awesome. So while my mom is getting botox I ask the nurse what the plan is going forward. When these lumps finally dissolve can we do more filler...she says she'll call me in two weeks after she speaks to the supplier of the filler. 2 weeks go by, nobody calls me. 3 weeks and I start calling them. It took another week for me to get a call back which is when she tells me they want to wait for 6 months. Fair enough, that makes sense, let's let these lumps dissolve on their own. BUT then she says that I'll have to pay for the filler...at cost because the owner feels they've already invested too much into my dissolving solution to have to cover the cost of more filler. She even suggests I call the original doctor and see if she'll "donate" a syringe of filler. I'm not even kidding...she actually suggested that. So here I am, $500 later with lips that are merely just a few lumps now and if I decide to go back to them in 6 months, I'll be paying more. This is not sitting well with me, which is why I'm posting this. As a business owner myself, I feel really disrespected. You should follow through on your commitments, regardless of the cost. That's the price of doing business and your word is worth a lot more than the $150 you'd spend on my new filler. I realize the dissolving solution is expensive and that there was no way for anyone to foresee how much I would actually need. But to leave me hanging is unacceptable. And to top it all off, the owner was suppose to call me to discuss this matter. that was a week ago, still no phone call. Don't bother calling me now, I won't be returning.
