| - short review - great beers, service, and atmosphere; pretty good food. a good belgian bar (i'm assuming - i've never actually been to belgium!)
long review - this bar/pub is near where i work, so we come here fairly frequently for lunch or to cut our fridays short. the main attraction here is the beer, as there is an extensive amount of belgian and german beers on tap, and the waiters are well-versed in each of them. if you manage to work your way through the list of beers on tap, there's also a fairly extensive bottle selection with some really interesting imported belgian beers.
the food here is fairly average, although there is enough to differentiate the menu from your usual irish pub fare... i particularly like the fries + mayo, but the beer/beef stew is really good as well.
when it comes to the atmosphere, be aware that there are no televisions here to watch the game on - instead, grab a seat by the garage door windows and do some people-watching instead.
my only real issue with s & r is that the beer, while really tasty, is also quite expensive... be prepared to pay for quality!
overall, this is one of the best drinking options in the area, and the comfortable atmosphere and above-average food make it worth trying out.
