| - This place was an absolute nightmare!!! I wanted to take my mom there for her 70th birthday to get pampered and Im pregnant with twins so Im always up for a good prenatal massage. There were things that went completely awry and I will NEVER go back. First I never got an appt reminder, which normally isn't that big of a deal, but when booking the appt we talked at length about the best time to come for locals (my mom is a local resident) so the day and time switched multiple times during the appt booking conversation. But none-the-less we finally booked the appt. So when I didn't get a confirmation call I wondered if I had the correct day/time and this is where the nightmare begins. I called and quickly confirmed our appt about an hour before we were supposed to arrive. As I pull into the parking garage and we walk in to the casino part an employee informs me that its a pretty far walk to the spa. So my very pregnant self and 70 yr old mom take the long journey to the spa.
Once we arrive we are about 10 mins late. The receptionist informs me that next time "be sure to park in our private parking lot." I said I didn't know about it and I never got a confirmation for our appt. She then explains that we usually talk to you about where to park and the process during the confirmation call. Ugh...She rushes us down to our appt and by the time we get undressed and into our robes we are about 20 mins into our appt. Then my masseuse, says "Im sorry, but you wont be able to get the full time for the massage because you're late." So then Im thinking do I really want to get a 40 min massage and pay full price? "No." The masseuse then says let me get my manager to talk. My masseuse was super nice and tried everything to accommodate where she could. However, when the manager, Jane, walked in she said I was late and should have done my own research to figure out they had their own parking lot to avoid being late. Then she went on to say that if I chose to not have a massage I would have to pay a cancellation fee because she was protecting her employees. So I would be paying for a "No Show" cancellation fee even though I was in a robe sitting on a massage table??? That is unsat. I said I would definitely be reporting this to the BBB and also yelping about my experience. The manager, Jane, then went on about how she worked on the strip for 17 years and understands the business. Which made complete sense because she wasn't used to repeat customers, just tourist.
The masseuse, in the end, was the one who had the customer service skills to make it right. She cancelled her next appt so I could get a full massage. BUT WHO CAN RELAX AFTER THAT???
Now to my mom, who I didn't want to make a big deal because it was supposed to be a happy time to celebrate her 70th bday! She got half the time of the full massage and I paid the full price for her massage.
Then as we were leaving. The manager, Jane, gave us some goodies bags with small things like free 1-day facility pass, chapstick and a stress ball and apologized. I believe the only reason she apologized is because I told her I would be reporting to the BBB and Yelp. DO NOT GO HERE! Its poorly managed and there are plenty of other spas that are customer driven and really care about their clients.
