  • I don't like to give bad Yelp reviews, BUT we went to Dr. Gamoths office in December, 2016 to have a skin lesion evaluated. They did the slice biopsy and the result came in as Melanoma - a fast growing and dangerous skin cancer. Even with this result, we never saw the actual doc, but the medical assistant. We asked for referral to a surgeon, and they did not provide that, or any subsequent help at all. They did not recommend a Sentinal Node Biopsy, which is the standard test to see if the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes. They did not recommend an oncologist. As a result of the lack of education and reccomendations from them, we found a surgeon to remove the melanoma. The melanoma was removed without the sentinal node biopsy. So we have no idea if the melanoma spread to the lymph nodes. We asked for referrals several times and received no help or advice from the office, and never saw the doctor, even though this is a potentially life threatening illness.
