I drove by this place quite a few times and finally decided to check it out. There is a handful of tables to sit at. They are somewhat unique wood tops with mismatched chairs. The atmosphere is nothing special but interesting with bright paint and large designs. The young lady working behind the bar was very friendly and answered my questions with as much information as she had available to her. She knew the beans came from a roaster in Michigan and named the specific one. I asked her about her cappuccinos and she said people ask for everything from extra dry to wet (not in those terms). I was impressed by the nuova simonelli that was ready to be kicked into gear and tried a cappuccino with no special instructions to see what I got. Let's just say I was not impressed. The milk had large bubbles, the espresso had little to no flavor/complexity, and I've honestly made much better drinks on my home machine. There was a lack of ability in crafting the drink that was evident upon looking at my drink without even tasting it. The music was comforting and I enjoyed my time reading. There are not many real coffee joints in the area so I really hope to see the skills of their baristas improve. This could be a good shop for the upscale locals if they do...
I will be going back one more time in a few months to compare the experience as this place is still relatively new.
