I'm fairly sure the positive reviews for this place are all fake. I don't have much of a problem with bad pizza places. They leave me alone, I leave them alone. But, for God's sake, don't call yourself Manhattan Pizza if what you're offering is the furthest thing from the New York slice imaginable.
Vegas is not a bad NY pizza town. Rocco's (the two in Summerlin, not the independently owned one on Buffalo) and Verrazano's (the one on Rainbow & the 95, not the unrelated one on Rainbow & Flamingo) are both superb slices you could expect to find at any corner pizza shop in The City. I give both of them 8.5 out of 10. Even Metro Pizza is OK.
But Manhattan Pizza III is the culinary equivalent of Jaws III. It is by far the worst mom & pop pizza place I've ever tried IN MY ENTIRE LIFE and, at 52 years old, I've tried thousands. THOUSANDS.
The slice had a crunchy cardboard crust, sauce like a Ragu jar and lily-white cheese on top that didn't intermingle with it at all. (Good New York pizza is orange because the sauce and cheese bubble together.)
This place should be called Manhattan FEETZA, because that more accurately describes the taste than its current name.
