  • Here's the thing i did end up getting the specific vehicle i originally came in for after searching for Jeep Libertys and Patriots. This particular one had insane low miles for the year, it was clean and reasonably priced. Trust me i did my research just like I researched this Thrifty dealer reviews before i even went in for my test drive. Because i intended to buy once i did and i wanted to see how they handed business. So I mean half of how a dealership handles u in dependant on how u come in, if ur confident, in wavering on what u want, but also reasonable as to what ur actual situation can obtain, such as financing, payments, insurance ect. Now the other half depends on how scrupulous the actual dealership and its sales staff is....now i made it very clear I really was not intrested in any other vehicles unless it was another jeep if we could not make this deal work. Now when i went in i was greeted by the dealer i spoke to on the phone. Him and his "manager" are who helped me. Now they told me on that Friday i came in they wouldn't be able to do the deal i on the Jeep with what i had down they tried saying i needed $5k down on a $15k Jeep no i knew my credit wasn't excellent but almost 35% down are u kidding me? They tried showing me 2 more cars in my "range". Both with super high miles and just not what i wanted. So i left quite discouraged because now i felt like what was I going to do i had checked my own credit before i went in and damn sure wasnt expecting that. Mind u i have a well paying job, i had $1k down and another $1k in a week which is also known as a deferred down payment. So $2k total. I went whole weekend bummed out bout it and thought I'd just start putting that down payment into my own paid off vehicle which i was not trading in either. But then Monday i get a vmail saying all of sudden they got it approved with my $1k down and $300 next week which was GREAT but i had spent bout $250 out of that fixing up my other car that weekend so all i had was $750 i told them that, and asked why such a massive turn around from $5k down to only $1,300 ? They said they found another bank, so at this point I'm thinking its prolly gonna be more money still when i get there or some other catches. So after bunch of run around on the phone over next 2 days.... i went in Wednesday and i only had to put down what i had and nothing else like some sort of rebate for the remaining so i ended up walking away with my beautiful Jeep for only $750 down and my payments were only $30 over the top of what i wanted to pay so pretty reasonable. The car is great but now I am having a small mechanical issue, we will see how they fix it considering I'm only halfway thru their 3k miles/3month warranty and i will update after. But as of right now I luv my jeep and the financial has been great.
