What a nice place to eat. Tablecloths and cloth napkins! An actual hostess who seats you.
A man whose job it is to go around and say hello to diners, thank them for coming, and ask if there's anything he can do to make the meal even better. A waitress who not only brings you your coke, but puts a lemon in the side and fills a carafe with more in case you want seconds.
How about manners? It even rubs off on the busboys who ask politely if they can clear your dishes and who refill your water without you even having to ask. My wife and I thought we died and went to restaurant heaven. Or is this the way it was in the 70's but we have all become so attached to our cell phones that we didn't notice that no one gives a sh_t anymore?
I had the cheapest thing on the menu. Pulled chicken BBQ sandwich with onion rings. I was full after three bites but I had to finish. It was best I ever had. Cole slaw on the side...a kind of cole slaw I haven't had in decades. Awesome! The wife had BBQ chicken dinner ($20). So much food she will have two lunches from the leftover. Mmmmmm. She said it was really, really good. We also had a side of broccoli which was served with some kind of dressing on the side to dip it in. Wow! That was soooo good. The baked potato that came with my wife's meal was HUGE....forget about that Wendy's potato you/ve grown accustomed to...this is a real potato. Crazy good. Mine came with French fries - there were so many fries they were literally falling off the plate.
This place gets 5 stars. No doubt. I loved it and I'll totally be back.
Baseball buffs should come here......the place is loaded with baseballs and baseball bats to look at...its like a museum. Very fun. Don't miss out. Go here. You won't be sorry.
