  • This is an act I've always wanted to see and I was NOT disappointed! There are no bad seats in the Luxor BMG theater, although I definitely was glad we were not being handed plastic ponchos as we took our seat, especially after I saw what they were protected from: the one part of the show that was pretty gross, hilariously funny, and repeatedly tripped my gag reflex! As the audience is seated (you can bring in your drinks if you like) the staff begin unrolling huge rolls of neon crepe paper all down the rows, instructing everyone to tear off a long strip and decorate yourself, headband, bow, tie, whatever. When the lights go down, the audience is aglow from the crepe paper decor! The show itself is absolutely amazing, and rock-concert LOUD. If you bring kids to this, I suggest ear plugs. They'll still be able to hear everything, and will still be able to *hear after the show! There are a LOT of flashing lights and quite a few strobe lights, so be aware if either of these bother you or a member of your party. You also want to be sure you are in your seats ON TIME. Once the show begins, latecomers are held at the door for about 20 minutes; they then enter during a bit which immediately stops as alarms sound and huge screens onstage repeatedly flash LATECOMERS! YOU ARE LATE! while a booming overhead voice berates and shames them all the way to their seats. LOL. I have never seen actors able to emote so clearly from a stage without moving their faces. Their white eyeballs stand out in the glossy blue makeup and these guys convey an incredible range of emotions with an eye roll or head tilt. Aside from the crazy fun technology and astounding drumming skills on a variety of "household" items, the show is laugh-out-loud funny. There is a lot of audience participation, including one person selected to come onstage for a hilariously funny bit. At our show, they selected an elderly woman from the row next to us. She was at first just laughing and covering her face onstage (almost looked like she was crying), but by the end of the bit this 90-something gal was not only fully participating, she stole the show and got a standing ovation when they carefully escorted her back to her seat! One of the bits includes a Blue Man catching an impossible 60 marshmallows in a row, thrown from across the stage. How he kept from choking on all those gooey marshmallows is a wonder, but when they slowly exit his mouth (and throat) onto a little table, it's hilariously disgusting! We laughed and exclaimed with awe throughout the entire 90-minute show. Well worth the price! Make sure you check online for specials, we got a four-pack for $89 each, saving almost $200.
