I drove up to Toronto from Sarnia (Ontario) last weekend, along with 2 work colleagues. One of them grew up in the area (Scarborough) and she gave us several recommendations on what to do in Toronto. That included visiting the shops at Yonge and Eglington.
So after getting off at the TTC stop, I looked around and muttered: What shops? The Eatons that I think used to be on the corner was long gone, so I impulsively decided to walk north.
That was a good choice as there are a lot of nice stores if you walk that way, and almost to Lawrence. I received confirmation of that choice by stopping into Indigo and unlike some males, asking for directions.
This Indigo store itself is indeed bigger inside than it would appear outside. And its nonlinear layout does encourage wandering around and lingering. The magazine selection is impressive as was the friendliness of store staff.
