I love Madison! This was my third visit to Madison and the city continues to thrill me. And one of the reasons that the city charmed me this time was this tiny gem of a place. My friend Kat who's a Madison resident recommended this joint and ready to experiment we readily agreed. And forequarter lived up to the hype that Kat had generated. The small cheese board, the Brussels sprouts, the poached trout, the honey cake, and the absolutely smoked fish beignets all hit their mark as an ace marksman's target practice. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. The ambience allowed for conversation but was also lively. Oh, and also an impressive beer list. Another one added to the must visit destinations in the already eclectic Madison food scene! Truly impressed.
