  • This is my honest review of my current situation as a resident. The power/cable company is at my home at least 2 times a month for power outages. The power outages happen almost weekly and the GFI trips causing my internet, cable and power to be out. I've had multiple neighbors share they too lose power almost weekly and another neighbor state they get emails to not drink the water 2/3 times a month. I've requested an electrician many times but refused until my child was electrocuted charging an iPad, the electrician was the builders electrician and said there wasn't an issue. He did however replace the burnt outlet in my child's room. The power/cable company came the next morning to resolve the power outage and replace my access point that was blown out by the electrical current. The chargers were burnt black and fried up the length of the cord. Over the summer my AC went out due to a power outage and my family and I had to stay in our home with temperatures upward of 98 degrees, we were given a small window cooling unit because they refused to send emergency maintenance out because that would void the warranty on the AC unit and they were still paying on it, is what I was told by the Community Manager. My shower door was installed upside down and all my trim is partially painted, my counters aren't flush with the kitchen wall and there's about an inch gap between the 2 and my cabinets are broken, scratched and have holes from improper installation at the top. The contractor didn't remove the pencil lines and extra holes in the walls from where the cabinets were repositioned for installation. Base trim aren't even as they weren't measured accurately, my kitchen window isn't fully installed and almost fell out when I tried to open it for air when we didn't have AC over the summer, my sentiments are more in common with the other residents who've complained about the same issues and standing water causing mosquito infestation for months, we recently received an email saying the standing water was an over sight of the sprinklers on an automatic system, mind you I reported the issue and was dismissed. If you're willing to pay these prices, choose South Park or Ballantyne. The exterior is beautiful but the quality is very poor and for the price you should have wood floors not laminate, better carpet pile than the standard base, cabinetry that flows not dark particle board like material downstairs and white in the bathrooms with different granite. The courtyard space is nice if you get the larger unit, it's very spacious. My neighbors are all so friendly and kind, I wish there were more opportunities to fellowship with one another but there aren't any amenities or events except a garage sale and a potluck under the cover grilling area. This is a pet friendly community and I see so many owners walking their fur babies of all sizes which is nice. There's potential here but a lot of re-working needs to be done with the quality, price, and construction. Starting with resolving the electrical issues, and monitoring the contractors work to ensure a finished product.
