Loved taking the day tour which is cheaper than the night tour. One of the staff mentioned they like it better cause you can see more. Only the 8 (?) restored neon signs are glowing in the night. Thus can take in more of the signs, take more pictures during the day.
Glad we were proactive and able to book the tickets, saw many folks being turned away cause they did not have the reservation. The tour guide (Mitch ?) was very knowledgeable and interactive and we were with a great group. It was a fun experience, since I like the history aspect of this I really enjoyed it. So it depends on that. We were a few mins late and they nicely helped us join with the group.
Quick tip would be: Neon and Mob Museum have a combo ticket which can cost you less, so if you are planning to checkout both of them then go for that.
