Good things DO come in flat shapes and Crown Bakery delivers them in the form of their Almond Cookies!
CB is a Korean Bakery located several doors from Ichiza, a locals' hidden gem for Izakaya. There's an assortment of breads, cookies and cakes. They also have Bingsu (Korean shaved ice) which I MUST try the next time I'm in Vegas!
After eating at Ichiza, we were waiting for a cab when CB peeked my curiosity. I decided to Yelp it and their Almond Cookies were mentioned in the highlights so I couldn't resist and had to buy them.
For $5, you get a pack of 10 Almond Cookies that most resemble a Lacey Cookie. The super thin cookies were topped with thin slivers of almonds and toasted to a honey-kissed golden brown. They were crispy and buttery, and although they were loaded with almonds, the nutty taste was subtle and not overwhelming. It's the perfect cookie for your afternoon tea time!
Just to note:
* CCs are accepted but the minimum is $10.
* There are FREE SAMPLES for some of the baked goods so you can do a quick taste test before making your final decision on what to blow your CARBriety on.
* The baked goods are NOT labeled and only some have signs, so make sure to ask the friendly owner/manager if you have any questions on what's what.
