We've been to Holsteins a few times and it's a fun spot. You must get a milkshake here because that is what they are known for. And of course the burgers. But milkshakes first!!!
Our server was Yves and she was very friendly, attentive and personable. Top notch service by all staff members here. Lots of teamwork with other staff members coming by to clear the table, drop off food or assist as needed.
First off, order the milkshake! It's pretty ridiculous and just heavenly. You can order any of the boozy shakes without booze for $3 less than price listed. We got the Donutella with booze and S'mores without booze for the kids. The shakes are huge and be prepared to fill up. Along with the shakes that come out, they give you a metal shaker with extra leftover milkshake. No joke. Two shakes was more than enough for our party of 5.
For dinner we got two orders of mini beef sliders for the kids off kids menu. Kids meals are pricey at $9 but comes with a side and vanilla sundae. Lots of food. We only got two for our three kids. For my husband and I we decided to share the Golden Standard. Everything was tasty and we were absolutely full. When Yves reminded us that the kids still get vanilla sundaes, we couldn't believe the amount of food you get. The kids barely touched dessert but they still made an effort. Lol.
I must say we really wanted their amazing poutine fries made with a Guinness beer base...unfortunately, they no longer offer this!!! Oh man. Bummer.
All in all, Holsteins is a cool spot and a first for the kids and they loved it. They were totally dazzled by the milkshakes!!! Enough said. Pricey dinner but quality everything. Thanks Yves!
