| - We stayed here for a long weekend on a family stay-cation. It was okay. We got the two room suite. It was good sized. Their website advertises that it has recently been remodeled. I could tell that some of the decor in the rooms seemed a little newer but the hotel overall was a little worn. It just had that look like you need to wipe everything down with disinfectant. Which I did and once I did everything seemed fine. When we pulled out the bed for the sleeper sofa we immediately called for new sheets. The ones that were on it were dirty and had not been changed before we got there. They gave them to us right away. Problem solved. That is one thing about this hotel. If you let them know you have a problem they are very fast to take care of it. Our fridge in our room wasn't working. They were happy to let us store our food in their fridge behind the front desk until it could be fixed and it did get fixed. The breakfast is a nice feature. Nothing fancy but they had hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, dry cereal, apples, oranges, yogurt, hot chocolate, coffee, juice and fresh made waffles. My biggest complaint was the pool. The websites says that it is heated but it was certainly not heated when we were there. The only time you could really tolerate it was during the hottest part of the day. We spent most of our time in the hot tub because that was the only thing warm enough to get in and that's saying something for Phoenix. A warning to non-dog lovers this hotel is very dog friendly. They do not require deposits for dogs so they have a lot over dog-lovers who stay with them. I love dogs, so I am always happy when a hotel is nice to them. I don't mind an occasional bark here and there but if you are someone who is bothered by that I would not recommend staying at any La Quinta as they are all very dog friendly.
