  • My second time to the Fright Dome in about 6 years. I am comparing it to other Haunted House attractions and sorry to say, this is at the bottom of my list. I had the VIP pass and I bought it in advance. I don't understand their crowd control but I still waited at every attraction, unlike all other VIP passes I have purchased. Very low grade sets for the most part...ripped sheets with fake blood, clear plastic strips with fake blood, netting and camouflage, etc. Almost along the same lines as a haunted house in your local neighborhood. Possibly the worst thing was the huge numbers of obnoxious, loud, pathway-clogging teens who made it difficult to enjoy anything, again, different from every other attraction like this I have been to. The incessant fog and strobe-lights were interesting at first, but very quickly become disorienting and ANNOYING, along with the never-ending THUMP THUMP THUMP of crappy metal music played at hellish volumes. All of the attractions are poorly-marked so you will have trouble finding them despite a map; entrances and exits are poorly-marked as well. No lighted signs to catch your attention. The best attraction was the "Isolation" maze which really is not a maze as they cannot wait for people to stumble through. They have to move the line, even though you go in one at a time. The actors in that were pretty good. Overall, paid about 70 or 80 bucks for the VIP thing and it just is not worth it. Maybe it's because Circus Circus is basically almost a 4th rate property now, getting badly run-down and lives in the huge shadows of the Wynn, Encore, Bellagio, TI, Mirage, etc. The venue is just old and cheap. Sorry to say it but its true. The guy running it is trying hard but I would make so many changes to salvage the Fright Dome Experience, it's not funny. This attraction is not even close to the Freakling Brothers Trilogy of Terror or the Hotel Fear/Asylum one.
