| - We are senior citizens, and engaged GI Construction to do significant renovation of a home we bought in a retirement community. There are not enough superlatives to describe how pleased and happy we are with the outcome, and with the entire experience of working with this Company.
First, Isaac, our project manager, is an extraordinary person to work with. We were impressed with him from the moment we met him, and it was his presentation that really sold us on using GI. His stated goal: "I want you to be happy." He meant it, and worked tirelessly to make it so. We saw immediately that he really knew his business. He had clever and money- saving ideas throughout. He scavenged the house we were leaving for equipment and fixtures we could use in our new place, saving us much money. He went with us countless times to vendors to select materials, and accommodated our physical limits by running around the big box stores to bring us things to look at, and select the correct items. I would send him a text nearly each morning raising the day's issues, and he would respond quickly.
Second, Jack was creative and came up with ideas for renovating our master bathroom that responded precisely to what we were trying to achieve. He also talked us out of an expensive change in our living room, which in turn enabled us to do other things. He also made very sure we understood the cost of each change or addition that we asked for, and several times advised against some of our ideas as not worth the expense.
It is worth noting that each member of the crews that did the work, especially Alex and Romel, were uniformly pleasant, timely, and worked remarkably quickly. The work was done neatly, and nothing was damaged! We also were impressed that one fellow who violated one of the company's own rules was quickly dismissed from the project.
Last, the owner of the company, also an Isaac, his wife, and other staff people came to meet us a few times, making it clear that our business was valued, and imparting a reassuring "family feel" to the whole project. They even gave us a gift when the project was done.
And, although GI will tell you they are costly, we found their prices to be reasonable, especially as compared with other bids we received.. Also, we especially liked that after the initial deposit, they asked for payment only after each stage of the project was completed to our satisfaction.
Our friends are incredulous when we say that we enjoyed our contractor. These folks are a pleasure to work with.
