I have had two less than satisfactory experience at this location. The first was for a trim that ended up being a serious chop job by the very young stylist, name forgotten. When I asked for it to be styled she blew it dry almost standing on end. I baulked and said I wanted it styled with the curling iron she handed me a jar and said "Do you want some pomade on it?" I guess she didn't understand what styled meant. I left in disgust.
This past winter I went for a perm with Elizabeth. Never again. When I got there I told her I wanted pink rods and styled after. She argued with me and would barely let me speak. I told her that's what I used with Lili at the Eglinton location (until her retirement) and that what I've used for over 30 years and finally got her to use pink rods. It took her almost 90 minutes to roll me up she was so slow. When we got to the part where Elizabeth took the rods out after the neutralizer phase she took a comb and proceeds to rub it back and forth in a sawing motion digging into my scalp. I asked why and she said it was to mix the curls. First time in over 30 years that has ever happened and it hurt. When she trimmed the edges she took so much off there was hardly any perm left on the sides. Then she said we were finished and I reminded her that I had asked - more than once - that it was to be blown dried and styled. She argued with me again in front of customers claiming I didn't ask. I told her if she shut up and listened to her customers she would know what was wanted and asked her if she always sends her customers outside in freezing temperatures with wet hair. So I got a quick blow dry and a straightening I didn't ask for and looked like a 80's boy band member. By this time it's noon and there's a line up waiting for her and she can't keep up. I ended up going home, washing my hair, blow dry and style on my own. Basically I paid $30 for a "style" which was a quick blow dry to get me home. To reiterate, never again. She's too slow and doesn't listen to her customers requests. And having a comb sawed into your scalp is not necessary. Management should re-evaluate her methods and instruct her to listen to her clients. When I left she said next time you come we are going to do this, this and this. On no we are not!
