I came to Big O Tires to have them check on a flat for my daughter's car. She was on her way out of town to San Diego, so needless to say we were in a bind because she had to be there by 5. After barely looking at the tire, they said the tire could not be fixed and sold me a $118 tire for a nissan cube. The tire was perfectly fine to be fixed - object was not on the side wall and the piece of metal was not deep in the tire. The tire had lots of tread left on it (7/32 or more than half the tread left). Had he actually inspected the tire, he would have seen it could be fixed. They also told me that it was a comparable tire (sumitomo) to the one she had yokohama avid which I was told is not the case. I guess they are more interested in selling tires then doing the right thing by their customers.
