  • I've lived in Chandler 30 years. I've had good and not so good experiences. I think it's good to remember that there are protocol to follow and sometimes they are limited in what they can do. If I wrote this immediately after a couple incidents... I wouldn't have been kind... police are people too. My most recent experience has been resolved with more patrols. Homeless people had taken up residence in our park and greenbelt area. Cars were broken in to. Trash was being gone through (sad but have to think about identity theft). People were terrified to walk or walk their dogs in the park or greenbelt. It took a lot of people calling and registering concern. There's still sketchy people around but what can you do until they break the law? I feel safer to see the police out and about! I appreciate their lives on the line every time they go out. I just had to file an identity theft case with them today, online. I doubt they are able to do anything but I'm following the process. I got pulled over once because I deemed it safer to go through a yellow light then slam on my breaks. I'd do the same again as I have back issues. I was let go with a warning. He wasn't very nice but maybe he was having a bad day??? The high school roads around it are a death trap... daughter had a small rear ending due to it. Again not nice to her at all, girl in front slammed on breaks apparently no reason. But ultimately the city needs to fix the road situation. The police came right out when we thought our neighbor several blocks away house was on fire. Thankfully it was just dingus illegally burning a stump and their neighbors house didn't catch on fire. The ducks... sorry that's the Home Owners Association... shhh I've fed the ducks before. The real issue is there isn't parking along the road, if you'd have gone around the corner and parked in the shopping center probably wouldn't have a problem. Mr green car doesn't know all the residents (green belt is for residents only and there are signs). There are camera's up again to catch road violators. I can't say it's a bad thing because people drive too fast and are multitasking.
