| - I'm torn. I got a pedicure a couple of weeks ago, and I feel like if this much time has gone by and I'm still feeling ripped off... time to share my experience.
I like what this business is about but I can't help feeling majorly ripped off by how much a pedicure ('splash of water') costs and what you actually get. I didn't even get any sort of massage.. maybe she forgot?
So, the 'splash of water' pedicure...
Just nail buffing and cuticle work, exfoliation and polish, and in between:
No lotion for me, maybe she forgot? I noticed she did some sort of lotion on the other person I was with (coconut oil is what I was told they use, read 'organic lotion application' on the website...*sigh). I don't mind CO use at all, just why advertise it as something fancy.
No massage whatsoever-- major fail and what I look forward to most about pedicures. Like literally no foot handling other than the exfoliation and nail work. I thought it was odd it was left out, but was just going to go with it hoping things would improve.
Some sort of 'coffee soak' involved about a tablespoon of coffee granules dumped into a large pail my feet were in-- highly ineffective, and slightly awkward the chick was so smiley about it and literally dumped in enough coffee to make for a shot glass size.... not sure it made any kind of difference.
Can't justify paying a total of about 56.00 + tax for something I literally could have done at home since I'd use my own coconut oil and my simple manicure tools.
Disappointing and I hope they really step it up for their premium pedicure offering since I was completely taken aback at how much they charged for what I had received. First time I've never tipped an esthetician -- not proud of it, nor about this review, but hey, it's the truth.
I'd say try this place out, but hopefully owners will see this and step it up with the pedicures!
