| - I've been here a few times, mostly when they are offering a deal or two through their email list. The first time, I wasn't impressed. I remember looking at the menu thinking that I could make most of the entree items at home. After tasting, I was even less impressed. There really wasn't anything on the menu that would make we want to come back.
But then we got a coupon for 2 for 1 entrees on Mondays and Tuesdays in October, and since it's right around the corner we decided to give it another try. I was delighted to find they had changed their menu to include some tasty new items, and I wasn't disappointed with our choices at all.
The Mixed Grain Salad was delicious! I would definitely get that again. It is hearty, sweet, and sour, with an amazing blend of textures that make every bite interesting. It reminded me of a Kashi meal, but so much better.
The next thing we got was the Banh Mi White Fish Sandwich. While it's true that it's not a traditional Banh Mi sandwich in several ways, the most obvious of which is the fact that it comes on a soft sandwich roll instead of a baguette, it was absolutely delicious! The fish was cooked perfectly, and it was juicy, fresh, and flavorful. The side of mac n cheese was just ok. I don't know why, but most of the starchy sides at Windsor seem overly salted. I love a good crunchy topping on my baked mac n cheese, but this seemed to be composed entirely of sea salt.
All in all, I'm really glad they offered a deal or I probably wouldn't have returned. I'm glad I did, and will be going back to try the other new menu items.
