  • Pros: I enjoyed Q&A with Ryan Hurst and Barry Bostwick. Couple of B-C artists were interesting to talk to and they signed their art and comics for about $5 or you could buy a comic or art piece and have it signed for a total of $10-$15. But, overall I was disappointed. Cons:$45 entry fee. Then if you want an autograph or picture with the celebrities, add at least $30 more. Photo ops and autographs are purchased separately for roughly $80-$100 total. Additionally, dealers were lacking in quality. Why? Well, the artists who were there including the up and coming were selling their art for at least $30. And there were only a couple people such as Sam Ellis and Barbara Slate signing and selling autograph books and prints for the $10-$15. Additionally, no comic con exclusive comic book or anything! Geez! The overall selection was limited compared to steel city. The overall mood was damper than I remember from any other comic con. And it seemed the crowd was not as enthusiastic. I heard the booth prices for vendors is steep for this event and that's why they don't get as many vendors as say, Steel City. Speaking of Steel city again, I remember more hands on events, more B level artists and authors, more variety of dealers such as space helmets and other replica items resembling comic accessories, and just more of an overall good feeling. By the way, who charges $10 for a couple ounces of roasted nuts? Someone else said a cookie was $5! Lastly, having Q&A in the corner of the wide open concrete space makes it seem so less personal and exciting. I wish they were all in the meeting rooms upstairs. Definitely provides better listening. Just not satisfied and can't recommend.
