  • I bought a car here around September 2015. The car I chose is a 2004 Hyundai sonata. Tested it for a drive. There was a weird noise everytime I made a turn and I told them I didn't like that. They said they will only fix it if I will buy the car and if I put a deposit down. So I said okay I'll do that. My father was with me when I had to sign the papers. We were talking about my insurance and since I couldn't afford it yet he would pay for my first few months. Little did I know this fat lady who gave me the papers to sign put it under my father's name instead of mine. Despite me handing the cash to her directly (for which I paid in full since my card had a 1500 dollar limit so was declined, had to run to the bank to withdraw then come back). I wasn't given the contracts to read through all she told me was sign, instead they showed it to my dad even though I was the one buying the car.(of course I didnt know this at the time) They said they will send the car to their repair shop right away and that I can pick it up 2 days later. When I got the car they said they fixed the loud squeaky noise and they washed it for me. I was grateful for that. 3 days after driving the car to and from work which is 10mins away from my house, the check engine light is on. I told my dad and he said he will call them so we can bring it to the shop. They weren't available on Sundays so I had to wait since I had work in the days that they are. The next day my brakes started making this loud squeaky noise. Everytime I braked it's like a giant fingernail scratching a chalk board. I was irritated. I let my dad know and he gave me their number. I called the guy and he told me to bring it to their place. When I brought it I had to call them to give me a follow up. They said they didn't have to fix anything about the engine light and that I had to pay 60 dollars for them to replace whatever. I was furious since it hasn't even been a week and it's been less than 50 miles since I drove this thing and theyre making me pay to fix their faulty car. But instead I had to pay since what is 60 compared to an expensive mechanic. Took them a week to fix it. When I got it back, the check engine light was off and the squeaky noise was gone. I thought oh hey let's fix the check engine light for her since we made her pay more. 2 days after getting the car back the noise was back. I was so mad. A few days after that my car had trouble accelerating past 30mph. Tried calling them. They wouldn't answer. I wanted to give the car back. I wanted a refund. I was gonna use the money for a down for a proper working car that I can pay monthly instead. They said I have no power over this since the car isn't under my name(this is when I found out) so I asked my dad for the contracts. They had list included that from what I've read says check engine light are not their responsibility, anything outside transmission or engine was not their problem and that everything is final sale. My father bless his heart, is not a fighter and didn't wish to pursue this further. For which I have no control over. So a week after that my car gave away. On the way to a Las Vegas show my car stopped in the middle of the road and wouldn't go past 5mph. Was able to slowly bring it to a parking lot and had to leave it there. Had to pay for towing to get it to a mechanic. Mechanic said my transmission was dead. 2850 dollars was what I spent after taxes. 60 for the brakes to be supposedly but never fixed. 600 dollars for new transmission parts to be ordered. 400 dollars for the mechanic. 100 for towing. Ta-da, what do I have? A car that I have to wait 20 mins to warm up so I can drive it smoothly. If I turn it off even once after warming it up and driving then turn it back on to drive again it will have trouble accelerating. The automatic transmission has trouble switching gears so I have to drive under 20 and give it a few seconds to switch(which by the way is a hassle since most cars just switch in less than that, especially every second on the road is crucial if u are in front of a vehicle that's better than u and he might assume u are accelerating) also when it switches it jumps like when u hit a road bump without slowing down. The ac/heater however is splendid. Never uncomfortable in this car except for when I'm on the road driving.
