| - It is my own fault for not checking Yelp prior to acquiring The Cleaning Authority for their services, but I'm doing this in the hopes that you are smarter than I was and will do your research. I'm not one to write reviews actually, but feel strongly enough. The truth is that I stayed on with them MUCH longer than I should have. Both my husband and I work A LOT and it was out of convenience.
I signed on with them at the recommendation of a friend but unfortunately it pretty much went downhill immediately thereafter. I will highlight three major issues (among many):
1. My husband and I are kind of safety nuts. We lock our doors, arm our security system, have indoor cameras etc. On multiple occasions, not only was our front door left unlocked completely, our security system unarmed, our cameras were also messed around with (moved out of the line of sight of the front door, turned around completely). Shady. I would call and complain, they would apologize and ensure that the staff would be trained, I would call and complain, around and around.
2. The cleaning was very inconsistent. Sometimes the house would be great, other times they would forget to do the entire second floor. Because of our security system we know when people come in and out of the house. Sometimes they would be in and out within an hour. Our house is 3700 square feet and not possible to clean top to bottom in one hour. In addition, they broke things. A lot.
3. The management is horrible, particularly the husband (it is co-managed by a Husband & Wife duo). He is incredibly rude and completely dismissive when you call and try to complain. Even in the worst of situations (they found out that one of their cleaners was stealing from clients and I was a victim) he was still callous and dismissive when you would think they would be doing everything in their power to retain clients. *DISCLAIMER* They do have some wonderful people working for them Josie in particular. She is the only reason I stayed on with them as long as I did.
That is my story - the truth is if I were afforded the opportunity to put ZERO stars, I would. Best of luck.
