  • I never write reviews but I'm so upset about my first and only experience at Woman to Woman that I just had to. I read a review of a very similar experience. I give Dr Anna's office just one star (because you can't give zero stars and) for cleanliness. I waited about 45 minutes for the Dr. already in the treatment room, disrobed. I came in for a routine annual exam but was also experiencing some discomfort during sex. With my Pap smear completed, I proceeded to tell the Dr. about my discomfort. She immediately recommends 3 different approaches but insist they are all necessary. I asked her what could be done, in which order as progressive treatment. I told her a solution by process of elimination would be most cost effective for me as I am a cash paying patient, I do not have insurance. I was already pretty scared as pain during sex can mean some pretty serious things could be wrong. I agreed to whichever order she wanted to proceed. Urine sample, Cultures and ultrasound. Well, cultures were already taken, it was just a matter of paying another $350 to test them for infection/STI. It would take a week for the results but an ultrasound would show her something immediately so she insisted on it. I couldn't pee because I had just gone so she tells me to do the ultrasound because she also isn't convinced that I'm not pregnant (even though I've been on Deprovera for 10 years and only missed my shot appointment by a week). It wasn't much of a conversation. She told me these were her recommendations then left and sent the receptionist in to collect payment. It was an additional $600!!!!! I asked the receptionist what the Dr. told her she was going to do today (charge for). She said it was up to me then looked at me very disapprovingly and said, "it's your health." I handed her my credit card, ashamed. The Dr. came back, performed the ultra sound, found nothing. After all the prodding, I could pee, so I did and then they charged me $30 more to rule out a bladder infection. I spent $810 there but was still written an antibiotic Rx. I waited to fill it until the results of my pap came. A yeast infection. No symptoms but that's what they said so I got another Rx. Filled them both for $48. And the kicker, I opened a bill this morning for another $28 for third party lab testing. No one told me to expect this bill so I called the office. I wept as I told Brandy that I felt totally taken advantage of, that I was shamed into procedures I didn't need. I almost wish after all that that there was something wrong with me so at least my money went to something. While she did sympathize, she didn't offer any reimbursement and didn't seem to care that I would not be returning or referring to their office. $900 later. That's more than every bill I pay combined besides my rent. I wouldn't recommend this office. The Dr. isn't patient and makes everything sound absolutely necessary and life threatening while the receptionist is there to warn you "or else." I don't think treatments/procedures are discounted as much as they claim and the pressure to make decisions about your health on the spot while considering the financial hardship is very overwhelming. Not a good feeling or experience, very disheartening coming from a female Dr especially ;(
