A lot of the reviews for this place leave you thinking it's just so-so but I actually really liked it. I live in Chicago but I was visiting Madison and we wanted to eat something really good for dinner so we randomly chose this place, which simply looked cute and seemed to be pretty affordable. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The food was reasonably-priced. I ordered a glass of Sangiovese that was truly delicious. I chose one of their pasta specials -- something with bow-tie noodles, chicken, and mushrooms -- and it was really good. The bread that they served in the beginning was so-so but I thought the olive oil was damn good. I don't think this is the best Italian restaurant in the world but I enjoyed it and I'd definitely come back here next time I'm in the area.
