  • We visited here after our night at Hilton Monona Terrace. This museum was our first stop since it opened early at 9AM. There is a parking garage across the street but we found a parking meter. Well, we thought it would take 2 hours but we managed to finish this museum about an hour. It is a decent museum which for free actually is pretty good. If I had to pay for it, then I would probably think not worth it. Afterwards, we went on a long goose chase to see the engineering bldg. We put another 1 hour in the parking meter and risked getting ticketed by campus police. I ran faster than my wife and our parents which got us separated. My wife's parents were slower and went further. In the end, you are better off with parking in the garage to avoid running back to feed the meter with more quarters. Art pieces here are pretty modern and lacked any classical European art work. Whether or not if you have time to kill, I would say there are more interesting things to see. The building here is absolutely gorgeous and nice layout/design but can't say much for their taste in art.
