  • Wow - it's been awhile since I've written a review on here, and I love Yelp! I HAD to write about Happy Feet because I really want this place to do well and stick around, hopefully for the rest of my life. I first went here when my friend Shannon D. was visiting Pittsburgh from Georgia. She told me that these sorts of feet reflexology places are common and popular in her area and that I'd love it. I was game. Someone was going to rub my feet for an entire hour for $35? Heck yes! The space is nicely renovated with a tin ceiling, exposed brick walls, pretty pink and floral linens, and beautifully carved oriental screens (for privacy). It's very clean and so pretty and calming and above all comfortable. First they serve you hot tea (or bottled water if you prefer). Then they roll up your pants to the knees and soak your feet in a mixture of hot water, fragrant herbs, and flower petals. DIVINE. Then the massage starts. It's not just the feet they focus on, though. While you keep all your clothes on, they also massage your arms, back, shoulders, neck, head, face, and hands. And it is absolutely the best feeling: I didn't know a massage could feel THIS good. The reflexologists who work there are extremely well-versed in the ways and means of this method. These are very skilled people. Afterwards you feel a little bit drugged and loopy. I guess it's the dopamine. Whatever you call it, you leave there BLISSED OUT. Your head space is definitely in a reeeeaaaaaal good place. I've gone back 5 times. The great part about that is that they have a punch card - so if you go a certain number of times (10), you get a whole hour free! You don't NEED an appointment but it is better for them if you have one so they know how many reflexologists to keep at the ready. That way you won't have to wait. The other great thing about this place is the hours - they stay open late. I even arrived AT closing time once and they generously stayed open another hour so my friend and I could get our fix. And I do mean fix. I'm addicted.
