  • Really bad experience. Technician Anthony showed up for a late evening emergency call since my garage door was stuck and not closing. Asked him if he can just bring door down for night so that I can evaluate situation in morning. He said no way that is possible, he has to fix it and will cost $850 to replace springs. I repeatedly asked him if he can just bring garage door down so that I can close it but he refused. It was getting dark and for security of my household with open garage door at night time I reluctantly agreed to repairs and $850 labor/material cost. After Anthony started repairs, within 5-10 minutes he brought garage door down with no problem. Seeing this I repeatidly asked hime why he told me otherwise but he refused to answer it, finish his work and left after taking his payment. In next few days I called two other reputable companies with great reviews on Yelp. Both companies provided written estimates which clearly shows that cost of spring repairs should not be more then $250. A1 Garage door charges 3 times the cost of normal repairs for springs, there technician lied and provide misleading information to take advantage of my emergency situation. I called A1 Garage customer service and explained the whole situation to there customer service manager. But they refused to accept responsibility of what happened and keep on insisting that what they did was right. I would strongly advice yelp readers to look somewhere else for there garage door service. I did not do my due diligence and paid the price to a predatory company that thrives on customer emergency situations to there fullest advantage.
