| - I'm really sad to say the experience here wasn't what I wanted it to be. Here are the pro's and cons... Judge for yourself, but I'd say: stay elsewhere.
Pro: Good location. The south side is a very "happening" area in Pittsburgh. The hotel is just off of Carson street (the main drag in the south side). Lots of bars/restaurants in walking distance.
Con: the service is poor, it's il managed, they were unprepared 3 hours after check in, and even when we waited an additional 30 minutes (they told us 5 min), the room was still dirty... And I mean dirty... Streaks of grease on the wet bar, what looked like dried salt stains on the bench, hand prints all over the windows, and the most egregious offense: long women's hairs (I counted about 12 strands) on our bathroom floor). It looked in our bathroom as if a women had just brushed her hair, some fell out, and it never got cleaned. I'm sure you can imagine our concern then with the cleanliness of things like the shower or even the toilet...
Pro: the decor in the lobby isn't too bad, and the design of the room looks fairly modern (sans the popcorn ceilings and broken lights).
There are enough other options in the city (cheaper and nicer)-take an uber over to enjoy the area).
