  • Ive been going to the Danforth site for some time. Not too often though, but close to when they started. They are good and the area is clean. I liked that they gave out a free sample of oatmeal scrub soap before, and that they have wipes available for you. It all depends on who you go to as well. In the beginning I had the owner do my sugar treatments. Then I had a new gal (darn I keep forgetting her name) and she was awesome. More so because she paid attention to detail. Then I had another gal who really appeared to be focused on getting it done as fast as she could for the next person. To her it was just a job, not a job well done. I had stubble left from broken hairs and it was growing back in in about a week?! I dont remember their names nor am I going to look them up. Im not here to point out people. Just hopefully they will read this and learn from it for all their staff. btw, Im not sure what people mean by painless. Either waxing or sugaring - you get the hair yanked right out in one swooping motion. So I personally dont think it is less painful than waxing. And I never noticed that waxing would pull my skin either. Its all the same, hair yanked out of sensitive areas. However, what I do like very much about sugaring is that there is no worry of "double dipping" the wax stick. No worry of cross infection. The wad of sugar they use on you is no where near close to the same wad of sugar they used on anyone else. For hygiene purposes that deserves 5 stars already. One thing Im not too keen on is the policy of a cheaper price for follow up sugaring for a brazillian. They say after 4 weeks or so but if its is longer than a certain period of time then its the full price. I find that by the time they say for the discounted price it is way too early and hardly anything has grown back. It is of course a form of waxing/ sugaring not shaving. Thats just me though. I find the staff really friendly and hospitable. However, It really makes me feel uncomfortable when the small talk comes to "so are you doing this for a big date tonight? Is there a special occassion for getting a brazillian? Your boyfriend is really lucky." Strange and awkward and bordering on inappropriate at the same time? I dunno, maybe others dont mind small chit chat about how their hoo-ha is getting all preped for something. Its a personal thing so I'd appreciate that we dont talk about any insinuations of why Im getting it done or my personal intimate life. It has happened on a few occassions by all who I went to, even the owner. Maybe they dont realize that not everyone wants to talk about that. So other than that everything is good! I would recommend this to everyone but Im afraid they will be too busy for me and increase their prices so that I would not be able to go there anymore. (so if they are reading this please dont do that!) Keep up the good work (but keep the personal comments to yourself!) thanks!
