  • The Paseo Walking Path is a mult-use trail in Southern Highlands connecting Goett Family Park to Sumerset Hills Avenue. It is currently unsigned. The only mention to its name is on the Southern Highlands Homeowners Association website. According to the Cardio Trainer application; a one-way hike on the Paseo Walk Path is a distance of 0.77 miles that takes approximately 13:27 minutes at a walking speed of 3.4 miles. On June 13, When I hiked on the Paseo Walking Path before the Wild Adventures Zoo event, it was my second time on it. On July 13, the weather was hot to the degree that you could boil an egg on the sidewalk. The hiking bug inside me was so hot that I'd deal with the heat and do some hiking in Southern Highlands. The Paseo Walking Path was part of my hike on the communitys walking paths along roadways and through neighborhood parks. The Paseo Walking Path begins as the southern border of Goett Family Park. Both share the same parking lot off of Southern Highlands Parkway. Immediately east of Goett Family Park, it develops into a linear park winding northeast through residential communities. Its blue pavement is bordered by decorative street lamps, picturesque trees, grass, and pleasing backyards. The greenery attracts birds. I'd lay eyes on birds hanging out on tree branches and pigeons sharing the pavement until I progressed close to them. Fitness stations are scattered throughout the trail. This is likewise also named a Healthy Trail. Jogging is a popular activity here. Vandalism is an uncommon activity here. Graffiti is nonexistent. Kudos to the Southern Highlands Homeowners Association who manages the Paseo Walking Path. The terrain is flat with gentle curves. The Paseo Walking Path concludes not at a park, but at the Sumerset Hills Avenue sidewalk. At this point there is the option of hiking back on the Paseo Walking Trail or continuing west on Sumerset Hills Avenue to Southern Highlands Parkway. The Paseo Walking Path is a valuable component of the Southern Highlands walking path system. It is what Pueblo Park is to Summerlin and Pittman Wash Trail is to Green Valley. It gets four stars for promoting exercise and recreation in the community. For people travelling outside of Southern Highlands, it is worth a drive for a short hike on a hot day. The one drawback is that it only connects to one park. Because the Paseo Walking Path was not on Yelp, I wanted to make it a listing and share this place with the community so that others can experience this trail.
