  • My girlfriend's parents own a timeshare near Disneyland and used their points to book a one-week stay at the Grandview. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit, which is pretty much large enough for eight people, or 16 if you pack them in like sardines and bring air mattresses. I do not condone doing this, but I'm just saying... Big rooms. Upon entering the room, you find two doors that also open with the same room key, rooms A and B. If you only book a one-bedroom, I imagine only one door opens with the room key. To me, this is a great system, as it allows privacy and, best of all, quietness when your travel companions are too much to handle. This is an improvement from the system that a lot of resorts use where they have a random door that links the two rooms together. Each room is approximately 800 square feet, which is the size of a very large one-bedroom apartment where I come from. The full kitchen has everything you could need during your vacation, including dishwasher detergent, utensils, and cookware. There is a small closet next to the kitchen with a stacking washer and dryer. They do not hold very many clothes, but are pretty convenient to have inside the unit. Between the kitchen and living room, there is a four-chair dining table. The living room has a couch, television, and storage closet with safe in it. The bathroom is very spacious. Two sinks, a shower, and toilet, with two doors, one to the bedroom and one to the kitchen. The bedroom has a large closet, television, king size bed and, best of all, a Jacuzzi tub. The tub could stand to have its jets serviced, as only two are strong enough to massage you. The rest are fairly weak. However, I did enjoy this and found it quite relaxing to take baths when I could. The property itself is big - there are several identical buildings on it and it can be a short trek to find where the pools are. Parking is hilariously bad here. It seems that some buildings are completely unoccupied, as they always have plenty of parking right in front. My building, however, was always full. Oh well, they say walking is good for you. The property is in a decent area, surrounded by desert and apartment buildings. A few blocks down Silverado Ranch, you'll find markets, stores, banks, fast food, and anything else you could need. Grandview does run a shuttle for trips to the market if you need it. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. In summation: Pros: Large property Next to South Point, but away from noise of the Strip 15 minute drive to Strip and airport Clean rooms, friendly staff Designated smoking areas outside each building Cons: Someone walked into our room with their key. Staff said they would look into it, but nothing ever became of it. Be careful if you bring valuables. Use the safe. Not all buildings have a pool. Pools can get crowded with children. Parking situation. We had a handicapped guest in our group and struggled to find accessible parking. Sales pitches. 4 stars because of the break-in. Otherwise, a great place.
