THIS "BUSINESS" SHOULD COME WITH A WARNING LABEL!!!
My experience was awful.
I took a vehicle on a weekend test run (I only wanted it for an overnight) but they insisted I keep it from Thursday to Monday. I know why now. It gave them time to deposit a check for $750 and a Visa charge for $250 (security deposits).
When I returned the car on Monday, I learned both charges, totaling $1000, had been processed. They would not write me a check to deposit into my checking account, and I was told that it would take up to two weeks to get the $250 credited to my Visa account. They had their car back and I was out $1000!!!
By driving to my Citibank branch, I was able to put a stop payment on my check (at a charge of $30). Within days, AutoNation turned me over to a collection agency. Prior to this horrible experience, I had very good credit. I have no idea what it is now.
I tried calling the company headquarters for Nevada business, and was told by a recording that no person would be available for a week (probably hiding from irate possible customers.
I plan to contact local TV news stations to report this to the consumer help departments, as well as other consumer agencies and anyone who will listen.
Potential customers - Heed this message!!!
