  • I applied for an apartment here a few weeks ago. First off it took a week to get a response back from the leasing consultant and then an additional week and a half to hear from the manager about whether my application had been approved or not. When I applied I spent $50 on the application fee and then additional $250 (which I was under the impression goes towards my move in fee or refunded if my application is denied). I finally heard back and my application was denied because I already have a lease with another apartment complex and had only been there for 2 months so I did not meet their criteria. (They don't know my reasoning behind leaving after only 2 months). Immediately (within 10 minutes) of receiving the denial email I emailed their office asking to get my $250 back that I had as a holding fee. I got an email back saying that since it's been over 48 hours of the application I no longer get my $250 back. It's not MY fault it took 2 1/2 weeks to get an answer. I had intentions to move in to their complex and think it's very unprofessional to basically steal from people and collect more and more money because they choose to take over 48 hours to decided on the application. I get how it would make sense to keep the money if I told them I no longer want to move in there but for them to be the ones taking that long to decide is completely unfair. Do yourself a favor and find another complex. They're overpriced, underwhelming and not that friendly.
