  • I've seen improv at venues across the US, and this was one of the worst shows. I went to the 10pm Saturday night show. The audience consisted of my wife and I and another couple. The 10pm show was more of a long-form improv show where the troupe three scene ideas based on an audience suggestion. Then each scene went through three iterations. I didn't laugh much. The players rarely reached the punchline in a scene which led to long period where time seemed to drag. At least three of the players seemed really new since their voices came off monotone and they relied on their scene partners to keep the ideas moving. There weren't clear transitions (other improv troupes I've seen use claps or patting players on the back to transition) between scenes so it was hard to follow the development of stories. Maybe I just went on a bad night? But I think you would want to have your A game on a Friday and Saturday night. At $8 a person, the price wasn't bad, but I didn't really have much fun.
