I've been practicing Krav Maga at IKMF Toronto for just over a year - the changes in my abilities, my confidence, and my physical fitness have been amazing.
Chris, the lead instructor is hugely knowledgeable, incredibly patient, kind and funny. He gives you as much time as you need to wrap your head around a new task or concept and is totally encouraging.
The techniques I've learnt and the understanding of when to apply them has been great.
The physical fitness aspect is almost accidental - it's not like going to the gym - but the workout is awesome - I've lost weight and built muscle without (almost) feeling it ;-)
One of the greatest parts of the experience has been meeting excellent people - Chris' studio is full of really decent, personable and interesting people who enjoy helping each other out while working to achieve their goals - it is serious - but also seriously good fun.
Finally, Chris is also welcoming of younger students - in fact he runs a separate Kid's program - The amazing confident that these younger students get from learning Krav Maga with Chris is amazing - he is changing lives.
